However, there are a few advanced settings which still require the Aternity on-premise Monitors Settings (Monitors Tree) screen (deprecated). Important Monitors Settings (deprecated) is only available to customers who upgraded from an earlier Aternity version, not for fresh deployments. Future releases of Aternity on-premise will not have this screen. Most of these settings are already available in the Managed Applications and Manage Activities screens, which are easier to use and automatically define the settings. Use the Monitors Settings screen only for rare advanced configurations, as detailed below. Use Managed Applications/Activity for nearly all your configuration To... Do This... To remove an application from being managed In Managed Applications, on the row of an application > the row's context menu on the right > Delete. See View Activities of a Managed Application. To enable or disable the monitoring of an activity in its deployed groups In Managed Applications, select an application > activity > the row's context menu on the right > Stop or Start. To assign an activity or application to more than either of those groups, create your custom groups, then in Monitors Settings select an activity, and assign it to any combination of your custom groups. To add an application event to Aternity In Monitors Settings, upload the core definition of the application event. See Add an Application Event to Aternity in the Monitors Tree. To configure settings which define an activity's status (when it changes color) In Monitors Settings, select an activity, then select Detection. To change how Aternity calculates activity's baseline settings, including split order In Monitors Settings, select the activity, then select Baseline. To create a custom device group Select the Gear Icon > End Point Groups. See Create a Custom Device Group.
