Configure Access to the System Settings in the Aternity Database

View the essential connection details to the Configuration schema in the Aternity database, which stores all the settings and advanced settings of the system.

These fields were required when installing the Aternity Management Server. Some databases connect using a customized URL.

Procedure

  1. Step 1 Open a browser and log in to Aternity.
  2. Step 2 Select the Gear Icon > Settings > Enterprise Environment Integration > Configuration Database.
    Connect Aternity to the Configuration schema
    Field Description
    Server Name/IP Address

    View the hostname, IP address or DNS name of the Aternity Database Server.

    Port

    View the port used to access the Aternity Database Server.

    Service Name

    View the name of the Configuration schema, which stores all the settings and advanced settings of the system.

    User name / Password

    Enter the username and password to read and write data to the Configuration schema which stores all the system settings. The typical choice for the credentials is gr/gr

  3. Step 3 Select Test Configuration to verify the settings.
    Note:

    The Aternity service needs to be restarted for configuration changes to take effect.
