~Configure the Aternity System~

The Settings page enables you to customize the Aternity according to your requirements.

This page has two modes: Basic Settings and Advanced Settings. Moving between the modes is done using the Switch to button on the top right corner of the page.

Specifically, the following settings can be customized and configured in the Basic Settings mode:

  • Location Mapping is the legacy method to manage the definition of business locations.

  • Agent Initial State: Controls the initial state of the agents in the system, allowing the user to control which new devices report to the system.

  • Email Server: Involves connection configurations for sending scheduled reports and incident alerts by email.

  • Platform Database: Involves connection credentials for the Aternity Platform database.

  • Configuration Database: Involves connection credentials for the Aternity configuration database.

  • Directory Service: Involves connection credentials for the authentication server. Currently, the system supports only Active Directory.

  • SNMP Trap Manager: Involves connection credentials for SNMP trap managers.

  • Display > General: configures the displayed name and logo.

Note:

After applying setting changes, you can click on the Refresh button to update the current view and confirm that the changes were correctly written to the database.

The Advanced Settings mode displays a tree of the advanced system settings.

Important:

Changes to settings may cause adverse effect to the platform. It is strongly recommended to consult with Aternity on any changes planned, and backup the configuration schema before making any changes.
