Monitor Application Add-ons Usage

Use the Application Add-ons Usage dashboard to view a summary of the usage of all applications with activities in your enterprise. An add-on is an instance of usage of an application with activities by a single user per calendar month. For example, you can purchase five add-ons for one employee using five applications with activities during one calendar month or for five employees using one application with activities during one calendar month.

Monthly Used Add-ons Trend

The widget presents add-on usage data by monthly breakdown. For users of the Fundamentals and Essentials license editions,the widget also displays the number of purchased add-ons.

Used Add-ons by Application

The widget presents add-on usage data per application.

Note

For users of the Fundamentals License edition, the listed applications include collaboration toolsmonitored by Aternity.

Monthly Evolution Trend

The graph shows the overall add-on usage increase during a calendar month.

In case of the Fundamentals license edition, the dashboard displays additional widget named Saved Dashboards. Use this widget to monitor the number of saved advanced dashboards, which may not exceed 5. The widget pie chart has three fields:

  • Licensed: the number of saved advanced dashboards within the 5 saved dashboard limit
  • Remaining: the allowed number of saved advanced dashboards left (5 minus the saved ones)
  • Over Quota: the number of saved advanced dashboards exceeding 5 (the saved ones minus 5). If the quota is not exceeded, this field value always equals 0.

Procedure

  1. Step 1 Open a browser and sign in to Aternity.
  2. Step 2 Select the Gear Icon > License Provisioning.
  3. Step 3 Select the Applications Add-ons Usage button.
    The dashboard can only be accessed by clicking on this button
  4. Step 4 You can change the start time of the data displayed in the dashboard in the Timeframe menu in the top right corner of the screen.

    The Used Add-ons by Application widget always displays data for a specific month. The default month is always the current one, but you can select other months depending on the selected Timeframe. If the selected Timeframe does not allow for the current month's data to be presented, the widget loads empty. In this case, select the desired month from the drop-down.

  5. Step 5 Hover over an application in Monthly Used Add-ons Trend to highlight it in Used Add-ons by Application and vice versa.

    Hover over a chart in any widget to obtain the Tooltip information.

    For users of the Enterprise license edition, Tooltips of both central widgets, Monthly Used Add-ons Usage and Used Add-ons by Application, display identical information: Month, Application, and Add-ons Usage. For users of the Fundamentals and Essentials License editions, the Tooltip of the Monthly Used Add-ons Trend also includes the number of purchased add-ons.
