You can also configure Aternity access via SSO. Single Sign-On (SSO) brings the most secure access to Aternity by bypassing Aternity's sign in screen, and authenticating with your enterprise's chosen identity provider (IdP) just once using passwords, two-factor authentication (2FA), or even biometrics. Every time you access Aternity as an SSO user, it automatically reroutes you securely to the IdP, and then after authentication, it routes you back to your Aternity home page as a signed in user. SSO uses the secure SAML 2.0 protocol to delegate the entire authentication process to the IdP.

SSO users can access Aternity with a custom prefix (subdomain) in URL, like https://sso.aternity.mycompany.com (learn more).

For locally defined users, a password must be at least 8 characters long, where at least one of them is uppercase (A-Z), one lowercase (a-z), one number (0-9) and one non-alphanumeric (like @, #, $). Aternity encrypts all locally managed passwords.

Aternity administrators can manage the list of users who access Aternity's dashboards via the Users screen, including their passwords (local users only) and privileges (learn more).

If you are an administrator logging in for the first time on a newly installed Aternity on-premise system, use the default username administrator and default password Q!w2e3r4. Then we recommend you immediately change the password for this account (learn more).

By default Aternity has an automatic timeout, logging you out if the session has been idle for more than 3.5 hours. An Administrator of Aternity can change this value if required.
