Access Dashboards in the Dashboard Library

SteelCentral Aternity™ monitors the performance of applications and devices from the end user perspective, so you can measure and improve the productivity of your workforce. It monitors your digital experience on the device by installing a lightweight Agent for End User Devices, which runs in the background on all monitored devices in your organization. Our presence on the end user's device (not remotely on a server) offers unique insights into the performance delays of applications and devices as the users themselves experience them.

Aternity builds a broader picture of efficiency across your entire organization by measuring the performance of all applications, like their wait times, and the performance of devices, like their boot times or resource usage. It also helps keep track of your inventory, and can monitor the impact of large changes or migrations. It displays these insights using simple, powerful, and intuitive dashboards, or alternatively you can access the data directly via REST APIs. This enables IT teams to proactively troubleshoot issues, by exposing delays and problems from the end users' viewpoint.

A dashboard in Aternity displays performance data intuitively according to different criteria (break-downs). Each dashboard typically contains multiple sections, known as widgets, where each section contains one or more graphs.

The Aternity dashboard Library presents a vast variety of new categories and dashboards accessible from the Main Menu. The library allows you to access many scenarios for dashboards and solutions created by others and re-use them for your own organizational metrics and needs. This allows stakeholders to easily view and interact with organizational data, exploring their own questions and interests.

There are endless ways you can use the shared dashboards to check almost anything you want to investigate. The library share data on the following things and more:
  • What device models you need to replace due to their bad performance

  • Who in the organization uses a forbidden software

  • A weekly performance pattern of applications

  • What user activities use the most of network resources

  • and so on

The library will be periodically updated with new content. Here are several examples of categories supplied by Aternity:
  • Compliance – These dashboards provide a robust compliance solution, allowing corporations to monitor and respond to various potential risks. Here are some examples of such risks: users who use unapproved software versions or even a forbidden by the company software, a suspiciously high activity during off-hours, user’s activities that use abnormally high network resources, and more.

  • Applications – These dashboards provide application owners and IT people with a wide variety of monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities to help them manage their apps.

  • Inventory – These dashboards provide tools for a proper inventory management of organizational assets, including the tools for better purchasing decisions, device transition tracking (for example, how many devices still have old Windows versions), and more.

  • Virtualization – These dashboards provide tools for better understanding and managing complex virtual environments of virtual desktops and virtual application servers. These tools provide an alternative look at Remote Display Latency, as well as an overview of the virtual application server.

  • Browse All – Here you can find all dashboards that exist in the Library, no matter to what category they belong. This view allows you to search for a specific dashboard out of all dashboards in the library, as well as to sort them by their Last Modified date. To see new dashboards added to the library since your last visit, use the Browse All page and sort dashboards by the Last Modified date, so that you locate all those dashboards that were added/modified after your last visit to the library.

Many people invest time and create a great amount of useful non-intuitive dashboards and solutions for better analyzing the organizational needs. They will soon be able to share these solutions with everybody by uploading these dashboards to the library. All other Aternity customers can benefit from this and use these dashboards for their own organization. In this release you see in the library the dashboards created by Aternity, but in the near future, you will be able to suggest your own dashboards for the library and others will benefit from your contribution.
