Key Task: Monitor a User or Device (User Experience)

You can monitor the overall experience of a single user, to investigate a problem in that person's device or application performance.

There are several ways to do this:

To view the performance of a single device of a single user

Use the Monitor User Experience dashboard.

To view a log of recent actions (activities) on this device, or a log of activities performed on all devices by this user

To view detailed information about the device hardware, like its CPU, memory, and other details like health events, top processes

Use the Troubleshoot Device dashboard.

Procedure

  1. Step 1 Open a browser and log in to Aternity.
  2. Step 2 Select Main Menu > Monitor > User Experience.

  3. Step 3 Select the user or device to display in this dashboard.

    You can either select a user to monitor all activities performed by this person on all their devices, or enter the hostname of a device to monitor all the activities performed on this device by one or more users.

    Start typing the name of the user or the hostname of a device. The system offers choices to auto-complete your text.
