Table of contents Manage Remote Intel Device The Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant Integration application enables Intel EMA endpoint management operations, including remote power actions and KVM remote desktop, from Aternity. If the integration is enabled, you can see the Intel EMA toolbar in the Troubleshoot Device > Device Health screen. Remotely manage Intel devices Note For enabling and configuring the Intel® EMA, your account admin should contact Aternity SaaS Administration. Aternity will provide the Intel documentation on how to configure the EMA server. For more details regarding configuration, contact Intel Support. ProcedureStep 1 Open a browser and sign in to Aternity. Step 2 Use the search box in the top bar to quickly find a particular device. Finding a user, hostname, device, or application in Aternity You can enter a device hostname or IP address or enter the name of a dashboard. Note You can use spaces and other alphanumeric characters. This search is not case sensitive, so it will search for the text in any combination of upper and lower case characters. The search supports email addresses and @. The search does not support other wild cards (like *) or other forms of logic (and/or). Step 3 Select the Build Your Own tab. Select Build Your Own Step 4 View the status of Intel device and what actions you can execute: Available actions for the integrated Intel EMA app Icon Description Indicates that connection between Intel® EMA Agent and Intel® EMA server is active. Indicates that connection between Intel® AMT (Active Management Technology) and Intel® EMA server is active Indicates that connection between Intel® EMA Agent and Intel® EMA server is inactive Indicates that connection between Intel® AMT (Active Management Technology) and Intel® EMA server is inactive Menu Description Hard Reset This action is powered by Intel® AMT (Active Management Technology) or Intel vPro® Platform. When clicked on this, a command will be sent on CIRA connection to restart the device at hardware level using Master Bus Reset. Power On This action is powered by Intel® AMT (Active Management Technology) or Intel vPro® Platform. When clicked on this, a command will be sent on CIRA connection to wake the device from sleep/shutdown/hibernate. Remote KVM This action is supported by Intel® EMA Agent service on endpoint. To begin a remote desktop session, click the Remote KVM link. You should now have a remote desktop session with the device. If the device’s endpoint group is configured to require user consent, a user must accept a prompt on the device before the KVM connection can begin.
