Enhancements of Remediation Out-of-the-Box Actions

Remediation allows IT Service Desk personnel to identify issues that can cause problems and remotely fix them before they will be escalated.
  • Aternity introduces a new out-of-the-box remediation action (Logoff User) to assist organizations that supply essential services and operate for 24 hours each day. In such organizations people work in shifts and often share the same workstation. A person might leave the office without signing out from the device. The service desk engineer can now silently release a shared workstation. Silently means without asking the end user for confirmation.

The action is disabled by default. Customers who are interested in using this remediation action, can enable it from the row's context menu on the right > Enable.
  • Starting this release, all actions (custom and out-of-the-box) can be disabled if necessary. Enable or disable any out-of-the-box remediation action to choose whether to use the suggested by Aternity remediation flow or your own.

Announcing Web Activity Creator 2.0 (WAC) General Availability

We are inviting our customers to benefit from WAC 2.0 potential for creating activities within Internet Explorer (IE) and not only in Google Chrome.
  • Aternity Web Activity Creator (WAC) 2.0 simplifies the process of building activities for web apps

  • Agent for End User Devices 12.1.1 is required for using WAC 2.0

  • The tool now supports collaboration in activity creation.

When users add an activity, they decide whether to share it with other people or keep private. When users log in to WAC, they see the activities created and shared by others. By default, all activities that users decided to share are shared with all WAC users. Every user can decide if to view or hide the shared activities from the screen (toggle Shared Activities menu). Sharing activities provides editing rights to other users. Activity collaboration is great for improving employee productivity, it leads to more efficient processes and increased success, it engages employees in brainstorming. Only the activity creator has the Delete permission.

Toggle Shared Activities to show or hide the activities other people shared
