Specific row values and overall color status of each section are explained below in this document.

Note that only system administrators can see links at the bottom of each section and expand the list and see the status of all analysis server services.

Getting Started

This checklist is a guided tour to assist new system administrators with producing data and setting configurations to allow them and their organization to successfully use the product.

Each checklist item will appear as green if the following criteria are satisfied, otherwise grey:

  1. Deploy collectors: Any agents in the system

  2. Instrument apps: Any processes with the instrumented status

  3. Create Transaction Types: Any transaction types that are not default

  4. Create Applications: Any applications

  5. Create Alerts: Are there any alerts with an id greater than 2 (the defaults); or are dynamic alerts both globally enabled and have an individually enabled one

  6. Create Server Tags: Has anyone in the company/account ever updated server tags on any agent via the UI

When you open a browser and sign in to APM, APM opens on its Home Page. When working with the system, you can return to the Home Page anytime by selecting Main Menu > APM Home.
